I am always up for a unique, creative challenge.

So, when author, JJ Casey contacted me about collaborating to produce a body of photographic work to accompany a book of poetry, I didn't hesitate.

The work shown above is a small slice of the overall body of work we produced. All of these images were shot on medium format black and white film using vintage Mamiya 645 film cameras, and were developed in-house.

In this book, Casey's poetry ranges from dark and foreboding to uplifting, and occasionally comical. Each photograph is a visual representation of the accompanying poem.
